You see my segments on TV… but did you know I also host a national radio show?
Every week on Rich on Tech, I talk about the latest gadgets, answer your questions, and bring in expert guests to help make tech easier to understand—and easier to use. The show airs across the country, from KFI AM 640 in Los Angeles to 710 WOR in New York City.
Here are some of the most helpful tips we shared on the show this week.
Hands-on with the Nintendo Switch 2
Matt Swider from The Shortcut joined me to talk about his early time with the Nintendo Switch 2, which goes on sale June 5 for $450.
“The thing I love about it is the screen… it’s a lot bigger,” Matt said.
If you’re a fan of Mario games, you’ll want to check out Mario Kart World, one of the big new titles coming with the launch. Matt says this console is a must-have if the Switch is your go-to system—even if you only play once a week.
Online privacy tips with Cloaked
We also had a great conversation about privacy with Arjun Bhatnagar, co-founder of Cloaked, a service designed to help you protect your personal information online.
His main advice: share less. Whether it’s your phone number, email, or other personal data—just say no when it’s not necessary.
“Your data gets aggregated, collected, and eventually used to target you or track you,” he said.
This includes places like stores or restaurants that ask for your contact info. You don’t have to give it out. Try declining—most of the time, it’s no big deal.
Mesh Wi-Fi picks from The Wirecutter
Joel Santo Domingo from The Wirecutter walked us through how to get better Wi-Fi at home, especially if you have dead spots or weak signals.
“If you have mesh networking, it will extend the Wi-Fi signal to other parts of your house.”
His top picks:
• Best for most homes: Eero 6 – easy to set up with solid coverage.
• Best for upgrades: TP-Link Deco BE63 – faster speeds and more ethernet ports.
A few quick Wi-Fi setup tips:
• Keep your network name and password the same when upgrading so devices reconnect automatically.
• Place your router centrally, up high, and out in the open for best performance. Wi-Fi signals don’t love being blocked by wood, metal, or clutter.
