Samsung has packed smart, useful AI into this device. The side button now activates Google Gemini, which can answer questions, control phone functions, and interface with a growing number of apps.
In the photo gallery, you can search using natural language—like "find all my photos with blue in them."
The Now Bar, while a bit too small in its current form, shows timely info like sports scores, maps, and music.
The Now Brief has been less useful, but it did help me remember a friend’s birthday.
Audio Eraser is impressive—it works to remove unwanted sounds from your videos.
AI edits for photos are smarter. It now understands the object you want to move, remove, or modify—and it’s scary good.
The Drawing Assistant is also improved. You can now type in your request for an AI-generated image instead of having to draw a sketch first.
The camera feels very similar to last year’s, but you will notice some AI improvements to image and video quality. The Ultra Wide Camera got a 50-megapixel boost.
The Samsung S25 Ultra captures excellent photos and videos a majority of the time.
Throw in the very capable Circle to Search, which lets you look up or translate anything on your phone screen, and the Samsung S25 Ultra is like a smartphone that actually makes you feel smart.
This is one of Samsung’s best devices yet.
