Meta has a new pop-up store in West Hollywood where you can try on and buy the popular Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses.
It’s called Meta Lab and is surprisingly specific to Southern California.
The temporary shop celebrates all things lowrider culture - with games, art, and even a mini recreation of Whitter Boulevard.
Of course, you can also try on the various styles of Ray-Ban Meta glasses and customize your case if you purchase a pair.
The $300 smart glasses have a camera, microphone, and speaker built-in, so you can snap photos and videos, listen to audio, take calls, and even ask AI questions like “What am I looking at?”
The second-generation glasses are a major upgrade from the first. They’re thinner and lighter, have a better charging case, and improve just about every aspect of audio and video quality.
The photos are surprisingly good and the videos are actually usable this time around.
The entire point of these glasses is to encourage you to capture more of your life and share it on social media like Instagram.
The Meta Lab is located at 8600 Melrose Ave, West Hollywood, CA 90069, and is open through December 31, 2024.
