Inside Chuck E. Cheese’s new arcade
If Chuck E. Cheese is where a kid can be a kid… Chuck’s Arcade is where kids of all ages can play.
The company has launched a new concept that blends retro favorites with today’s hottest games — and the first West Coast location just opened at the Brea Mall. It’s also the tenth Chuck’s Arcade nationwide, with others already up and running in Texas, Oklahoma, Florida, and New York.
A nod to nostalgia
Through the ’70s, ’80s, and ’90s, Chuck E. Cheese was the go-to spot for birthday parties and arcade fun. Now, the brand is reintroducing that experience for grown-ups who still love the games — alongside a new generation discovering them for the first time.
Each Chuck’s Arcade even includes a decommissioned animatronic on display, giving longtime fans a chance to snap photos and revisit childhood memories.
All about the games
Unlike traditional Chuck E. Cheese locations, Chuck’s Arcade doesn’t serve food or drinks. Instead, it’s completely focused on gaming:
Classic arcade cabinets
Modern VR experiences
Prize-packed claw machines (currently trending)
Merch and candy to take home
The space is bright, clean, and designed to be a “third place” — not work, not home, but a spot where people can gather, play, and compete.
For every generation
Whether you’re 6 or 60, Chuck’s Arcade is built to appeal to everyone. Parents with kids, teens hanging out, or anyone looking to relive their childhood can find something here.
And no quarters required — all the machines are tap-to-play.
Chuck’s Arcade plans to expand with even more locations in the future, each slightly different, but all focused on delivering the arcade experience in a modern way.
