HOW TO QUALIFY FOR A FREE LAPTOP
Step 1: Residents must register for the training event.
Step 2: Residents who register will receive an invitation to complete the needs assessment form for a free laptop
Step 3: After completing the assessment, if they quality, the resident will receive a recipient ID number that they must show to pick up the free laptop at the end of the training event (must also have photo ID).
Step 4: After completing the 8-hour training, they present their recipient ID number and receive a laptop.
Please note, free laptop distribution is based on the needs assessment form and is intended for underserved residents. Not all residents will qualify and only residents who need a laptop (and cannot afford one) should apply. This is limited to one free laptop per household.
They can only apply for a laptop if they register for a LBT training session; at the last event 16 residents qualified for a free laptop. DTD has given away over 10,000 FREE laptops to underserved residents across LA county since 2023.
