Amazon is teaming up with Uber Eats to give Prime members another perk: restaurant delivery with no delivery fees on orders of $25 or more.
But the real deal here is a limited-time promotion that gives Prime members $20 off each of their first two Uber Eats orders of $25 or more. That’s up to $40 in savings, and it’s actually a pretty good deal.
There’s just one catch. You have to order through Amazon, not the Uber Eats app.
I tried it out, and here’s how it works.
Open the Amazon Shopping app and search for “Uber Eats” at the top. You should see a banner advertising the new Prime benefit. Tap it and follow the steps to get started.
You can also go directly to amazon.com/ubereats.
Once you’re in, you’ll see a special Uber Eats ordering experience that opens inside the Amazon app. It looks and works a lot like the regular Uber Eats website, except you’re ordering through Amazon.
On the home page, you should see an offer for $20 off your first two orders. Browse nearby restaurants, add at least $25 worth of food to your cart, and head to checkout.
Here’s what I noticed when I tested it: The checkout screen showed a little Prime logo, a $20 promotional discount, and the delivery fee crossed out.
Not bad!
Once you activate the offer, you have 14 days to use it on two separate orders of $25 or more. My offer expires November 18, 2026, so I’d plan your next two takeout orders around this promotion to make sure you get the full $40 in savings.
One thing to keep in mind: Zero delivery fees doesn’t necessarily mean zero extra charges. Other fees, taxes and tips may still apply, so check your final total before ordering.
I still think ordering through Uber Eats is one of the most expensive ways to eat. Between higher menu prices, fees and tips, you’re typically paying a pretty big premium for convenience. But there’s definitely a time and a place for it, especially when you don’t feel like cooking or leaving the house.
And with a promotion like this, you could actually come out ahead compared to picking up the food yourself, depending on the restaurant’s prices and any extra fees.
Just remember to start your order in Amazon, not Uber Eats, or you could miss out on the savings.
And in case you’re wondering, yes, Uber Eats is replacing Grubhub as Amazon’s restaurant delivery partner for Prime members.
